Ylang Yang Essential Oil in 5 sizes by Edens Garden

Ylang Ylang (pronounced yuh-lang yuh-lang) is quite the impressive oil. Throughout history, and up until today, many have been captivated by the rich aroma of this fine oil, and can attest to its magnificence. Ylang Ylang oil became popular, as did its economic potential in the 19th century. This caused large cultivation of the flowering tree in Madagascar, where the hot, humid climate and volcanic soil provides excellent growing conditions for Ylang Ylang. Henceforth, Madagascar became the world’s dominant source of Ylang.

The flowers of the Ylang Ylang trees are hand picked by women from neighboring villages year round, especially during the months of April-July, when flowering is at its peak. It is typical for each woman to collect 20-40 lbs of flowers per day. The fresh flowers are then sent to the distillery to produce a magnificent essential oil. The flowers are distilled over time, producing different grades of oil. After about an hour, Ylang Ylang I is produced, then Ylang Ylang II, and finally Ylang Ylang III. Ylang Ylang Complete is the combining of all three grades, or the full distillation of the flower, which produces a very complex oil. Our 100% pure Ylang Ylang essential oil is Ylang Ylang I, meaning it is the first oil to be distilled of the three distillation stages of Ylang Ylang. Each grade or level of Ylang oil produces its own unique aroma and therapeutic benefits.

Once the flower is picked and distilled, the oil is then packaged and shipped to places like Edens Garden, where we’re proud to offer Ylang Ylang essential oil in its purest form, for all to enjoy!
