Diy: Natural Essential Oil Facial Scrub

Turn your home into a spa with our easy and all-natural essential oil facial scrub recipe! You might already have these simple ingredients in your kitchen. Whip this up in a few minutes and enjoy healthy, glowing skin. This scrub exfoliates your skin while helping to treat acne, skin irritation and inflammation.

EG’S FACIAL SCRUB DIY

In place of commercial scrubs containing harmful ingredients like synthetic fragrances and parabens, use Grapefruit, Patchouli, and Lavender instead if your skin needs a pick-me-up! Grapefruit oil helps clear and tone the skin, Patchouli serves as an anti-inflammatory oil and Lavender targets skin irritations with its ability to promote rapid healing.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

¼ cup plain yogurt

¼ cup cornmeal

5 drops each of Grapefruit, Lavender, and Patchouli

Porcelain or glass bowl for mixing

HOW TO:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly
  2. Apply the mask using your hands or a face mask brush, avoiding the eyes
  3. Allow to sit for 15 minutes
  4. Rinse off with warm water and a clean towel

Hi Rose! You can use oatmeal, in fact, it may be a better option for people with sensitive skin. Cornmeal is a bit more abrasive, helping with dead skin cell removal.

Can I use oatmeal instead of corn meal? Is there an advantage to either? Thanks
