This Or That: Germ Ease Vs. Healthy Hero Blend

We’re all thinking the same thing: how can I keep my little ones healthy? Keep your children protected from bacteria and illness the EG way with our germ-busting essential oil blends from our OK For Kids line. You may have noticed we offer two kinds of wellness blends for children: Healthy Hero and Germ Ease. So, which should you choose? We’ve outlined the differences below.

Healthy Hero

Healthy Hero consists of Lemon, Lavender, Rosalina, Sweet Marjoram and Spruce essential oils. Its citrusy and piney aroma is sure to please your little ones, all the while you get to be the hero that defends your child. To use, simply apply topically to the chest, back of neck or feet at a 1% dilution.

Germ Ease

Our bodies have natural defenses in place to fight off infections, but it’s always a good idea to give them a little boost. Germ Ease is an earthy, cleansing blend of Frankincense, Lemon, Juniper Berry, Sweet Marjoram, Pink Pepper, Cedarwood, Sweet Orange, Petitgrain, Cedarwood, Damiana, Blue Tansy and Vanilla CO2.

The Verdict

Healthy Hero and Germ Ease are both excellent choices cold & flu season. They are also equally effective. Their differences lie primarily in their aroma. As always, we recommend trying both and switching back and forth to benefit from all the aromatherapeutic benefits. Please keep in mind that the Pink Pepper in Germ Ease is part of the Cashew family, and should be avoided if your child has a nut allergy.

Whether it’s Healthy Hero or Germ Ease, a natural solution is ideal for protecting against environmental factors, all season long. Don’t forget to wash your hands!

Hi Rebecca! Pink Pepper essential oil does not contain the plant protein that is linked to allergic reactions. Germ Ease does have a potent aroma, along with all of our essential oils. I have a concern… I read that the Pink Pepper in Germ Ease is part of the Cashew family, and should be avoided if your child has a nut allergy. Does the Germ Ease give off an aroma? I know that those with nut allergies are susceptible to negative reactions when they can smell nuts. I would be concerned about my granddaughter using this in school, as I know there is a classmate with a nut allergy.
