How To Use Your Fall Blends

The aromas of pumpkin spice, cinnamon bark and spiced cider fill the air as we head into the fall season. We can all finally enjoy pumpkin pie, the chrysanthemums, the harvest, the golden leaves and the beginnings of that cold bite in the air. It's also the time to break out our Fall Seasonal essential oil blends which perfectly emulate this autumnal transition.

Along with diffusing essential oils in our favorite ultrasonic diffusers, we love finding other ways to fill our atmosphere with the aromas of fall. If you’re wondering how, worry not! Because we’re sharing 6 ways to use Edens Garden Fall Seasonal blends. Read on to learn more.

How To Use Your Fall Blends

Ready to take your Fall Seasonal blends to the next level? Here’s how.

#1 Fall Hand Soap

With fall comes seasonal scents and products that remind us autumn has arrived. Hand soaps are just one of those products. But rather than shopping soap with questionable ingredients, you can make your own at home with a few simple ingredients and your favorite essential oil diffuser blends

For this recipe, we’ve chosen Spiced Chai Latte for its immune-boosting benefits and warm, spicy aroma. A blend of Clove, Coffee, Vanilla and other sweet scrumptious oils, Spiced Chai Latte is the ultimate fall blend.

What You Need

7.5 oz Glass Pump Bottle

Unscented Liquid Soap

150 drops of Spiced Chai Latte Blend

How To

Add Spiced Chai Latte and Unscented Liquid Soap then stir until the ingredients are fully blended. Transfer to your Glass Bottle and place near the bathroom or kitchen sink.

#2 DIY Autumn Wreath

Despite it only being the end of August, it seems fall decorations have already flown off the shelves and been replaced by Christmas decor. If you’re in a rut to find decor that matches the current season, try making your own with this DIY autumn wreath how-to. This simple DIY is very versatile and can be used to make garland and other great decor pieces as well.

What You Need

Wreath Frame

Paddle Wire

Floral Tape

Live or Silk Florals

Branches and Greenery

Autumn Air Blend

How To

If using Live Florals, make bunches of your Florals using Floral Tape. Then, take a bunch and fasten it to the wreath frame using your Paddle Wire. Make sure the bunches are securely fastened, and won’t move or fall off the Wreath Frame. Then, take the next bunch and place it over the fastened bunch in a way that looks aesthetically pleasing to you. To make a fuller, bulkier wreath, let each bunch cover a good portion of the next bunch.

This may take some time, but before you know it, you’ll have a beautiful, festive wreath. Lastly, add a few drops of Autumn Air or another fall diffuser blend to create an even more inviting quality to your home. Who knew decorating could be so easy?

#3 Himalayan Salt Essential Oil Diffuser

If you’re looking to diffuse your favorite fall essential oil blend in an inexpensive and decorative fashion, then the salt diffuser method might be just the thing.

The constituents in salt enhance the aroma of essential oils, making for easy, natural diffusion. This can be done simply by adding salt and a drop or 2 drops of essential oil to a bowl. Using any cute, decorative bowl or vessel works, but we also came up with a crafty DIY concrete bowl to make it more fun. Incredibly cute and useful, this DIY will be one for the books.

Not sure which fall blend to choose? Friends & Family is an excellent option. Highlighting aromas of earthy Juniper Berry, spicy Cardamom and citrusy Lime and Sweet Orange essential oil, Friends & Family is the fun-loving seasonal blend you’ve been looking for.

#4 DIY Fall Scented Candle

Who doesn’t love lighting fall scented candles once the weather becomes crisp and chilly? We sure do, which is why we make our own using fall blends.

What You Need

2 cups Soy Wax

Cotton Wicks

Glass Vessels (heat-safe)

Wood Stirrers

Double Boiler

100 drops of Coffee Crumb Cake Blend

How To

Over medium heat, melt your Soy Wax in the double boiler. Meanwhile, place the Wicks in your Glass Vessels and twist the Wick around a Stirrer. Place the Stirrer over the top of your Glass Vessel to keep the Wick in place when you pour the Wax.

Once the Wax melts, remove from heat and quickly stir in Coffee Crumb Cake blend. For a stronger fall scent, add up to 50 more drops of essential oil. Pour the Wax into your Glass Vessels leaving about .5 - 1 inch space on top. To prevent the Wax from pulling away from the Vessel as it cools, it helps to gently heat the Vessel before pouring the Wax.

Let cool, then cut off any excess Wick and light allowing the candle to completely pool on top before blowing it out to extend its life.

#5 Fall Body Oil

Sometimes, filling your space with your favorite fall diffuser recipe or DIY isn’t enough. You want the aroma to follow you as you walk out the door and go about your day. Can you relate? Then this Fall Body Oil is for you.

For this recipe, we’re using Sweater Weather blend – a combination of the best essential oils that represent all things fall, you simply won’t be able to get enough. And in this DIY fall body oil, Sweater Weather will warm you up with its cozy aroma while also nourishing skin and boosting your mood.

What You Need

2 oz Glass Pump Bottle

2 oz Prickly Pear Seed Carrier Oil

24 drops Sweater Weather Blend

1 tsp White Mica Powder (skin-safe)

Add your ingredients to your Glass Bottle, shake to combine and use! It’s as simple as that. Note, the Mica Powder is optional and added to give your skin a subtle shimmery glow. Furthermore, you can brush the oil in your hair for added aroma and nourish your locks.

#6 DIY Fall Room Spray

Diffusing essential oils is a great way to spread your favorite essential oil blend recipe throughout your space, but sometimes you want to add that aroma directly to your linens, closets, drawers and nooks where your diffuser can’t reach. In these cases, it’s great to have a room spray on hand.

Luckily, it’s quick and easy to make your own natural, non-toxic room spray with essential oils.

What You Need

2 oz Glass Spray Bottle

1.5 oz Distilled Water

1 tbsp 190-Proof Grain Alcohol

35 drops Cozy Cabin Blend

How To

In your Glass Bottle, combine Cozy Cabin and the Grain Alcohol. Let sit for a few hours before filling the rest of your Bottle with Distilled Water. Shake to combine and spray.
