Imagine stepping into an aromatic bakery—that's the delightful euphoria you'll experience with Cassia. Its spicy, zesty, sweet, and heady aroma is not just uplifting but also deeply comforting.

Cassia essential oil is derived from East Asian trees closely related to "true cinnamon." It's the typical "cinnamon" you find in North American markets but with an added layer of wellness benefits. The leaves and twigs of these towering evergreen trees are steam distilled through a meticulous process to produce our aromatic essential oil.

But the allure of Cassia goes beyond its delightful scent. It's a versatile addition to your wellness routine, whether you're diffusing it for an energy boost, combining it into a DIY skincare product, or simply enjoying its unique aroma. And here's a tip: try adding a few drops of Cassia to a carrier oil for a warming massage—it's like a spa day at home! Experience the magic of Cassia today—your senses will thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
How to use Cassia essential oil?
  • There are several ways to effectively use Cassia essential oil and obtain its benefits, including 1.) Add 10 drops to your essential oil diffuser per 100 ml of water. 2.) Add 10 drops to an Essential Oil Inhaler and take it with you for on-the-go therapeutic use. 3.) Create a spray by combining 20 drops Cassia and 1 tablespoon 190-proof grain alcohol in a glass spray bottle. After a few hours, add 3 tablespoons of distilled water. Spray onto surfaces and in the air to refresh your space.
Is Cassia essential oil safe for dogs?
  • Animals such as dogs metabolize essential oils very differently than humans. And with a sense of smell 10,000 to 100,000 times more acute than humans, animals are more affected by essential oil diffusion than one might think. With that said, due to Cassia essential oil’s many precautions, we don’t recommend using this oil around your dog. If you’ve already used Cassia essential oil around your dog and notice behavioral differences, such as whining, scratching or acting loopy, move your dog to fresh air and contact your veterinarian. If you wish to use Cassia essential oil without affecting your dog, inhale it using an Essential Oil Inhaler and Mio Mist Diffuser or use it topically.
What does Cassia essential oil smell like?
  • Cassia essential oil is very similar to Cinnamon Leaf essential oil in aroma but carries softer connotations and is a much gentler floral aromatic. It's a divine fusion of spicy and sweet that is reminiscent of fresh baked cinnamon rolls. If you find Cinnamon Bark and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils too spicy for your taste, Cassia essential oil will be just the right substitute.
What is Cassia essential oil?
  • Cassia essential oil is closely related to “true cinnamon”. It is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the Cinnamomum cassia evergreen tree and is a middle note. In blends its aroma emerges after the top notes have given way and it is especially comforting and calming and uplifting, easing a turbulent emotional state to deal with the stress of a choatic day. In topical blends for body care, it has the power to reduce joint pain, pain of menstrual cramps and even relieve symptoms of menopause. It improves circulation and immune function and in topical blends for stomach concerns can aid healthy digestion.
Can you ingest Cassia essential oil?
  • Essential oils are powerful, concentrated substances so a little goes a long way. Two of the most effective ways to use them are by way of inhalation and topical use. Ingesting Cassia essential oil is rarely necessary or recommended, no matter the brand. Ingestion can lead to adverse reactions such as medication contraindications, mucous membrane irritation, sensitization and nausea if done incorrectly. Therefore, if you wish to take essential oils internally, we strongly recommend consulting with a knowledgeable professional with experience in internal use.
