Clove Bud Essential Oil

Exotic and spicy, Clove essential oil has an array of diverse properties. Cloves are the aromatic unopened flower buds of a tree native to the Molucca Islands in Indonesia and are commonly used as a spice. Think Chai tea lattes or gingerbread cookies fresh from the oven. If you have a lull in your day, the warm aroma of Clove essential oil can inspire activity and action.

Cloves are often used to give aromatic flavor and aroma qualities to hot beverages, often combined with other ingredients such as cinnamon, cardamom and ginger, or many other versions of spiced teas.

Cloves can be used to make a fragrance pomander when combined with an orange. When these scented fruits were given as a gift in Victorian England, it was meant to serve as a gesture of friendship and convey sincere warmth of feeling.
