Challenge: Go Clean in 2017!

December 30, 2016

Cleanliness is imperative to our overall health. We scrub, wash and disinfect. Despite our best efforts, some over-the-counter products can actually cause more harm than good.

Over the course of our lives, we are exposed to a swath of harmful chemicals, synthetics and additives. One of the many reasons people make the move to essential oils is because they can offer an effective alternative for many of our favorite beauty products, cleaning supplies and air fresheners.

According to the Environmental Working Group, the average woman uses 12 products containing 168 ingredients every day. The average man uses 6 products with 85 ingredients a day. That’s a lot of substances swirling through our environments daily. Although not all ingredients in those products are harmful, many can cause serious damage to our health.

This month, we are committing to helping you rid your shelves of dangerous chemicals and instead, turn to nature for substitutions. We’ve researched the latest natural replacements to come up with DIYs and educational pieces to help guide you to a cleaner and clearer 2017.

Join us in our commitment to 100% pure, natural products!

Will y’all be coming out with a larger bottle to replace cleaning products? It would be nice if there were just one bigger go to bottle that we can use to clean/disinfect with, instead of having to make different bottles for different uses. Thanks

Hi Rita! We don’t recommend the internal use of essential oils without consulting your medical doctor and an aromatherapist. It is not the same as using essential oils topically or through diffusion, because the oil is absorbed much quicker and coming into direct contact with vital organs when swallowed.

You say do not use these oils internally but you are recommending using them on face and body. your body is soaking these in so really no different then if you took internally. I’m confused about this reference.

Hi Hang! We do not recommend the internal use of essential oils, because we can’t intake the medical history or conditions of every customer, and thus cannot provide safe guidelines unique to each user. With that said, we would recommend consulting with an aromatheapist if you wish to use 100% pure essential oils in this way.
