At first it was difficult to get the right amount to get a pleasant scent but i diluted it with a small amouny of fractionated coconut oil then diffused it. The diluted version made it so much easier to diffuse and the scent carried easier. Reminds me sandalwood mixed with cedar.

very very nice

I have two sandalwoods, Bulgarian lavender, frankincense and buddah wood. I like the sandalwoods and the others are ok, but the buddah wood is my favorite, it is kind of similar in warmth to sandalwood. it just smells good, you know? It is so much cheaper than sandalwood too.

Love this one

I use this one in pain blends, calming diffuser blends, as well as perfume blends. It's one I will always keep on hand. Added bonus to get it at an affordable price AND with the holiday sales, to boot!

"Would you sit under...

...a Bodhi tree for seven weeks in order to achieve enlightenment?"

"The Buddha Wood."

This oil is quite something. At first whiff, it reminded me of wild Amyris, and that's where the similarity ends. Upon putting a few drops on my palms and rubbing together vigorously, the metamorphosis began. For a while I was wracking my brain to come up with proper adjectives to describe the unfolding scent - dusky tea rose, inner bamboo flesh, soapy-smoky. That's clear as mud! Then I read that Buddha Wood is also known as Australian Desert Rosewood, and that, with a few caveats, IMHO is the best descriptor for this marvelous oil. Mind you, not the heady, floral, sweet top-note of rose attar/absolute, or even rosewood, but a dusky, smoky, tea rose, inner bamboo... there I go again. This oil is still unfolding and changing on your skin after 15-20 minutes! I totally grok how at least on reviewer here said it has become her scent of choice to wear neat. Complex, multi-layered and actually fun. I cannot speak to its (purported) benefits in reducing inflammation, relieving pain, aiding in sleep, etc., but it sure smells good!
