During cold season, nasty coughs and painful congestion can completely obliterate your plans. Not to be confused with Ravintsara, Ravensara gives a hefty boost to the immune system so you can naturally keep icky days away.

With a spicy and complex floral aroma, Ravensara should be used with caution because of its potency. Never ingest Ravensara but rather diffuse it in your bedroom to take advantage of its antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Ravensara encourages a tranquil emotional state.

As soon as you start feeling that itch in the back of the throat or your nose start to run indicating a cold is coming, add a few drops of Ravensara to a foot bath or massage lotion. Be sure to heavily dilute the oil.

Native to Madagascar, Ravensara trees have reddish-gray trunks and grow to about 65 feet. The leaves of the trees are put through a steam distillation method to extract the oil. Ravensara is a tremendous addition to any blends meant to heal the respiratory system.
