- Tea Tree roll-on has been used to aid nail fungus, acne, head lice and a skin condition called eczema. Today, it serves the same purpose thanks to its powerful benefits. We do recommend that you test a new oil on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If you experience a reaction, discontinue use. If you have no reaction, uncap the bottle and place the roller on your skin and roll it over any of these places on your body: temples, inner wrists, pulse points, behind the earlobes, the back of the neck, the palm of the hands, directly on problem areas and even bug bites.
- Tea Tree essential oil roll-on is generally safe for most people when used as advised. If you’ve never used Tea Tree oil topically before, we recommend performing a skin patch test by applying a small amount to the forearm. Wait and observe if any reaction such as redness or irritation occurs. Though it is unlikely to occur, this helps to cancel out allergies. Lastly, it is not recommended to use Tea Tree oil roll-on with children under 2 years old as it is too strong for their developing systems.
- Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is steam distilled from the leaves of the tea tree shrub to produce pure essential oil. Using the CO2 extraction method, Tea Tree is also commercially available as a CO2 oil. With that said, Tea Tree is a pure essential oil but it’s also available in other oil forms including as a fragrance oil. To ensure you’re purchasing pure Tea Tree essential oil, the supplier should be able to provide a GC/MS report that coincides with the batch of Tea Tree you’re purchasing. The report should also be examined by an essential oil chemist or expert and include comments validating the oil’s purity.
- Throughout history, Tea Tree has been used to heal various skin conditions. Today, Tea Tree roll-on is popularly used to care for acne. Our Tea Tree roll-on is diluted with Fractionated Coconut carrier oil and can be applied directly to blemishes. To prep the skin and remove dirt or grime, start with your cleanser. Next, apply your serum – in this case Tea Tree roll-on – directly to areas of concern such as blemishes, age spots and fine lines.
- Tea Tree roll-on is not recommended to be used around dogs. Animals, including dogs, metabolize essential oils differently than humans. Certain essential oils are not safe for use around dogs because they’ve been shown to produce negative side effects. Puppies and dogs with health conditions may be too sensitive to essential oil exposure. The bottom line is, don’t use essential oils with dogs unless advised by an animal aromatherapist. To understand a little more about safe oils for dogs, read this blog post.
