Diy: Edens Garden Essential Oil Infused Lip Balm

Make your own natural, therapeutic lip balm in minutes! These homemade lip balms can be made in a variety of essential oil pairings and are great for personal use or gifting. They smell amazing and will keep your lips hydrated and looking fabulous.

  1. Over very low heat on the stove, melt together the soy wax pellets, almond or coconut oil and Shea butter until combined. Keep an eye on it and gently stir. It should never boil, just melt.
  2. Add in 5 drops of your preferred Eden's Garden Essential Oil.
  3. Let the mixture cool a bit (but not so long that it begins to harden in your pan), pour into a small container, let cool.
  4. Apply and give a big smooch to someone you love!

Grating out a nice, even 2 T. of shea butter is a lot of work. Do you have the equivalents in grams or ounces? Something that I can measure using my digital scale, rather than a measuring spoon? I figured that it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!

I love making homemade lip balms! One of my favorite blends is grapefruit and ylang ylang. It smells a little bit like Juicy Fruit gum.

Hi Michelle! This recipe makes 2.5 oz of lip balm. Vanilla oleoresin and vanilla absolute are typically solvent extracted using different solvents. Vanilla oleoresin is more viscous and less expensive than the absolute.
