How do I use essential oils safely?

To use essential oils safely, always dilute them with a carrier oil like Coconut or Jojoba before applying them to the skin and avoid direct contact with sensitive areas like eyes and mucous membranes. It’s also important to do a patch test and follow recommended guidelines for each oil to prevent irritation.

Hi Christina! Great question. Fractionated Coconut oil removes molecules that harden, leaving behind only a liquid Coconut oil. Virgin Coconut oil is not processed in this way and hardens at room temperature.

Hi, I was wondering the best carrier oil to use for medical healing purposes. I just been diagnosed with sciatica L4 L5, and I would like to make my own oil to relieve my sciatica pain, rather that taking Western meds. Any suggestions on books?

Happy New Year, Marian! Lemon oil is a good option, but I recommend Steam Distilled Lemon to prevent a phototoxic reaction.

This article answers a lot of questions about how to use oils for dark spots and uneven skin tone. I think the Turmeric Face Mask in this article would be especially helpful to you: https://www.edensgarden.com/blogs/news/remedies-for-uneven-skin-tone-on-your-face

I suggest you add Age Defy to wrinkles and any signs of aging and Face Love to your whole face as an oil serum.

For combo skin, Jojoba oil, Apricot Kernel and Camellia Seed are all great options.

Feel free to email me if you have further questions! aaa@edensgarden.com

For Bella: Please advise as to what is the best facial blend for a 62 year old with brown spots. I’ve been using Lemon oil with a couple of drops of jojoba to spot treat brown spots on my face. Will that help lighten? Also, I have both your face love and age defy blends. Which would be the best blend for me? And with what carrier oil? I have the combo skin (T zone oily) with a few wrinkles and quite a few brown spots. There is not much info on Face Love in your blog yet…perhaps an upcoming article is in the works? Can’t wait to hear from you. Happy New Year!
