Trending Aroma: Grapefruit Essential Oil
Similar to the world of high-fashion, trends in aroma are constantly changing. As Ms. Heidi Klum puts it, “One day you’re in and the next day, you’re out.” At Edens Garden, we’ve seen demand for woodsy aromas (like Fir Needle), spike, plummet and then skyrocket back to the top. Pungent florals, like Geranium, have been shown to have a “love it or leave it” reputation that rises and falls with each season. And currently, there may be nothing hotter than the flirty and bright aroma of Grapefruit essential oil.
Citruses are common showstoppers in the essential oil world but there’s something effervescently special about Grapefruit that sets it apart. Our Grapefruit Pink Pepper Bath Salt has been a massive hit. Yves Saint Laurent, Tocca and Viktor & Rolf have all recently released fancy perfumes with Grapefruit (sadly, synthetic) as a key ingredient, making it #trending. If you’re more familiar with the aromas of Lemon or Sweet Orange essential oils, Grapefruit has a bit more of a sparkling note to it, like pink champagne.
Cold pressed from the peels of the subtropical fruit, Grapefruit essential oil is sensational for the body and mind. By diffusing or inhaling, it can help bolster your metabolism, mood and immune system.
